Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, paid a visit this Sunday to an exhibition of the achievements of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. He also met with the commanders and personnel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence described paying a visit to this exhibition as very sweet and unforgettable, stressing: “The most important lesson of this exhibition is that it proves the people of Iran have the talent and the capability to enter difficult arenas – those which the enemy tries to prevent the people of Iran from entering.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: “This exhibition delivers a message of innate power and capability to all of us officials and it says that we can.”

Criticizing those officials who do not pay attention to this message, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “Unfortunately, our managers in a number of sectors do not understand this message.”

His Eminence referred to talent, capability and determination as the most important factors in achieving power, reiterating: “In recent years, we have managed to achieve results in any area we focused our efforts on and in any area we focused the efforts of determined individuals on.”

He stated: “I have always been and continue to be an advocate of innovation in the area of foreign policy and negotiations. I have always advised officials to do their best to show innovation in the area of foreign policy and international interactions. But the needs of the country and certain issues such as sanctions should not be tied to negotiations. Officials should resolve the issue of sanctions in a different way.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described this exhibition as a practical example of the talents and capabilities of the people of Iran, saying: “We should know that we can.”

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the main reason behind enmities is the independence of the people of Iran and their commitment to Islam and the Holy Quran. He added: “Islam and the Holy Quran invite Muslim peoples to stand on their own feet, to rely on their Islamic and human identity, to have trust in Allah the Exalted and to refuse to give in to oppression and transgression and to global bullies. Therefore, as long as the people of Iran stick to Islam, the Holy Quran and their lofty goals, the enmities of the camp of arrogance will continue to exist.”

His Eminence stressed: “The camp of arrogance tries to bring the people of Iran to their knees and to make them retreat, but they will definitely not reach this goal.”

Referring to the unreasonable and foolish statements that the western side makes during negotiations – particularly its insistence that Iran should limit its missile power – he said: “They expect Iran to limit its missile program. T his is while they constantly issue military threats against Iran. Therefore, such an expectation is stupid and foolish.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that the unreasonable behavior of the other side will lead to its defeat against the people of Iran. He mentioned: “The Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps should follow up its responsibilities and plans and it should not be satisfied with its current level.”

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps to increase its products, adding: “This issue is a responsibility. All military officials should make efforts to carry out this responsibility and government officials should consider it one of their main responsibilities to support this.”

Ali Khamenei

Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence stated that the main reason behind the good and friendly relations between Iran and Pakistan is the great cultural and religious attachments between the two countries. Expressing his dissatisfaction at the decrease of relations between Iran and Pakistan in economic areas, he reiterated: “There are certain hands which try to create discord between the people of Iran and Pakistan – who are two close friends – by causing insecurity in the common borders of Iran and Pakistan. But we should not allow the great opportunity for strengthening the relations between the two countries to be lost.” The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed the nece ssity of strengthening the relations between Iran and Pakistan and implementing great economic projects such as the Iran-Pakistan gas pipelines projects, further saying: “I hope that during your term, good measures will be adopted to strengthen the relations between the two countries.” Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned that Iran and Pakistan should not wait for others’ approval to strengthen their relations, adding: “America – whose malevolence is clear to everyone – is one of the governments which tries to create a gap between Iran and Pakistan. Of course, besides America, there are other governments which are active in this regard.” Pointing to a number of insecurities in the border areas of Iran and Pakistan during recent months, His Eminence said: “Some people deliberately try to cause insecurity along the long borders of the two countries and we cannot believe that these events are normal and unintentional.” He reiterated: “We have certain information about the activities of some people in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province with the purpose of causing insecurity in the border areas of the two countries.” The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described takfiri groups as a great danger for all Muslims – including Shia and Sunni Muslims – saying: “If takfiri groups are not confronted, they will do more harm to the world of Islam.” Referring to his good memories of the Supreme Leader’s trip to Lahore, Nawaz Sharif stated: “At that time, I was the Chief Minister of Punjab with Lahore as its capital. The warm welcome that the Supreme Leader received from the people of Pakistan shows the depth of cultural, religious and historical attachments between the two peoples.” The Prime Minister of Pakistan pointed to his negotiations in Tehran and said: “I will do my best to improve the economic relations between the two countries, to raise the level of economic interactions even more than a few years ago when the economic interactions between Iran and Pakistan reached three billion dollars. I will also try to give fresh impetus to the gas pipeline project.” He expressed regret at the recent insecurities in the border areas of Iran and Pakistan, adding: “I will assure you that the government of Pakistan will do its best to confront the agents of these insecurities and to support the measures that the Islamic Republic adopts.” Source: leader.ir

The meeting was held on the occasion of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) birthday anniversary. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence highlighted Imam Ali’s (a.s.) characteristics – particularly the lofty goal that he had during his caliphate – saying: “One of the lessons that Imam Ali (a.s.) taught with the purpose of achieving true happiness for the Islamic community was the effort to improve the living conditions of people and to solve their economic problems. In the present conditions, this goal can be achieved by developing good plans for activating the infinite capacities of the country and for relying on our young talents.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: “It is in such conditions that the country will make progress in material, psychological and moral areas and in areas related to international credibility, dignity and national self-confidence. It is in such conditions that the country will be liberated from the arrogance of and being beholden to foreign enemies.”

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to Imam Ali’s (a.s.) individual, social and governmental behavior as one of the outstanding dimensions of his personality, reiterating: “During the time that the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) was a great and powerful ruler with a vast and wealthy country at his disposal, he lived like a poor person in a modest house. During this time, he showed resistance in order to administer justice and observe divine obligations and he accomplished great feats.”

His Eminence described Imam Ali’s (a.s.) lofty goal to help people achieve paradise as another important characteristic of his life, stressing: “The Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) stated that this lofty goal is to help people achieve paradise and play an influential role in intellectual, psychological and spiritual areas and in their social lives. This is a very important issue. This is one of the most import responsibilities of an Islamic ruler.”

Referring to some people who question the responsibility of the Islamic government to help people achieve paradise, he stated: “The responsibility of an Islamic ruler is to help people achieve true happiness. Of course, this does not mean imposition and bullying. Rather it means that, considering people’s natural inclination towards happiness, the ground should be prepared to help them achieve this goal.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution mentioned: “If the Islamic community reaches the peak of material, scientific and industrial progress, social relations and national and international dignity, but people fall into disgrace when they die and enter the hereafter, then society has not achieved true happiness.”

Ayatollah Khamenei said that one of the ways to help people achieve true hap piness is to make an effort to improve the living conditions of people and to uproot poverty, unemployment, class inequality and discrimination. He reiterated: “By Allah’s favor, officials are after solving the economic problems of the people today, but their thoughts and ideas should be cohesive so that the right path can be identified.”

His Eminence stressed that implementing the general policies on the economy of resistance and relying on domestic capabilities and talents is the proper way to solve economic problems. He mentioned: “Whenever we relied on the innovation and talents of motivated, religious and pure youth and whenever we appreciated their value, the bubbling springs of progress began to emerge. Our achievements in the area of nuclear energy, pharmaceuticals, stem cells, nanotechnology and industrial-defensive plans are the clear examples of this reality.”

He said: “It is by paying attention to such realities that we can understand this statement by Imam (r.a.): ‘America cannot do a damn thing.'”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: “If we activate domestic capacities and focus on domestic capabilities, then America and other powers will not be able to do a damn thing – whether in military or other areas – and they will not be able to bring the people of Iran to their knees.”

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: “Powers should know that the people of Iran will not be brought to their knees because they are a lively people and because the youth of the country are moving on the right path.”

Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed his gratitude to the people, ulama and outstanding personalities of Ilam province for their resistance and glories during different eras of the Islamic Revolution, particularly their resistance during the Sacred Defense Era.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met Wednesday morning with thousands of teachers. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence described acquiring knowledge, teaching, and strengthening morality as the three main elements of the noble and glorious vocation of teaching. He stressed the necessity of implementing the plan of transforming the educational system, adding: “Complete support for this great organization is an effective investment for the bright future of the children of the country and for the rapid progress of dear Iran in worldly and otherworldly areas.”

Illustrating the main dimensions of teaching, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated: “Teaching how to acquire knowledge is an important responsibility, but what is more important is teaching children and teenagers how to think.”

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that shallow outlooks and shallow learning cripple society, saying: “If students learn from their teachers how to think in the right way, the future of the country will be founded on thinking and reason. Therefore, the dear teachers have a heavy responsibility in this regard.”

His Eminence described the practical teaching of morality as the third dimension of the honorable vocation of teaching, stressing: “Achieving lofty goals and ideals requires patient, wise, religious, innovative, kind, courageous, pious, polite and diligent individuals. And teachers play a primary, deep and permanent role in building such individuals.”

He called on the officials in charge of the educational system to pay serious attention to implementing the plan of transforming the educational system, adding: “Implementing this fundamental and helpful plan requires a practical roadmap. This roadmap needs to be prepared and implemented – step by step – in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.”

The Supreme Leader of th e Islamic Revolution referred to manpower as another important issue for the educational system, saying: “This determining organization is directly or indirectly in contact with tens of millions of people. Therefore, its managers and high-ranking officials should have specific characteristics.”

Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned: “Your priority should be young, revolutionary, religious, enthusiastic, motivated and diligent forces. You should pay attention that achieving the goals of the educational system is the only issue that officials and managers of this organization should focus on.”

His Eminence highlighted the necessity to rely on revolutionary and religious forces in the educational system, reiterating: “The main goal of the people and officials is to create an exemplary and advanced society – in material, spiritual and moral areas – in the shade of Islam and the Holy Quran. Taking the long path of achieving this goal requires building an innovative, broad-minde d and determined generation in the educational system. This task can be carried out by religious and revolutionary managers and forces.”

He stated that focusing on political and partisan orientations is a poison for the educational system, saying: “Unfortunately, this outlook became dominant in a certain era and it inflicted many losses.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that all organizations – particularly governmental organizations in charge of the budget – should support the educational system. He reiterated: “The more we invest in the educational system, the more positive results we will achieve. This is because this organization is the root and basis of all achievements in the present time and in the future.”

Ayatollah Khamenei described paying attention to textbooks as very important, adding: “Textbooks should be well-developed. They should not contain any weakness and deviation – whether political or religious – and they should not distort the truth. Therefore, the officials in charge of preparing textbooks should carry out their responsibilities with complete precision and trustworthiness.”
